A Portrait by Clark Photography is a very special creation! We will take the time to capture you in a "Theme Portrait", "Formal Portrait", "Casual Portrait" or "Environmental Portrait" that you will cherish for a lifetime!
The "Theme Portrait": This portrait is a lot of fun to do. Picture a family picnic, a portrait with your piano or car. This portrait is only limited to your imagination!
The "Formal Portrait": Is a very elegant portrait in a formal setting in the studio, home or office.
The "Casual Portrait": This is one of our best-selling portraits. It is done in a more relaxed atmosphere, usually with a muslin backdrop.
The "Environmental Portrait": Is our top-selling family portrait. Combine it with a "Theme Portrait" and you will have a portrait that will become an heirloom.
The Madonna Portrait
The "Madonna Portrait" is a very beautiful portrait of Mother and Child. This portrait captures that special bond, warmth and love between mother and child. When photographed with the entire family, you will have a portrait that will be cherished forever. . .
The "High-Key" Setting: We use a white background or white shear curtains to achieve a High-Key Portrait. This portrait is best when photographed in white attire.
The "Bedroom" Setting: When done in this intimate setting, it is the most beautiful "Madonna Portrait". It captures mother and child in a more natural surrounding.
The "Home" Setting: To use your own nursery or child's bedroom for a "Madonna Portrait", is a rare treat. At home you will have more personal surroundings and is a great way to have the whole family participate in this special portrait.

A Portrait Unit is an 8X10 sheet of paper with any of the following combination of images printed on it: 8-wallets 4-4X5's 2-5X7's or 1-8X10. Each unit must have the same Image, but the next unit can be totally different from the last one.
Our Portrait Selection
The Majestic Colour Portrait
Years of pride and craftsmanship go into every Majestic Colour Portrait! The finest printing techniques are used to produce the print. This portrait is fully enhanced* and retouched** as necessary. Next, the emulsion is carefully adhered to artist's canvas on your choice of a stretcher frame or heavy mount board. Then to give a finishing touch, each Majestic Portrait is hand brush stroked. You can display this beautiful portrait with pride, and you will treasure it for many, many years!
The Regal Colour Portrait
Our Regal Colour is a handsome finish, not as dimensional as the Majestic Colour, but all together very pleasing. Here, the emulsion is carefully adhered to fine artist's canvas, then mounted to heavy mount board. Regal Colour has many of the desirable features found in the more expensive Majestic, but at a lower price.
The Custom Colour Portrait
The same techniques that go into producing the Majestic Colour and Regal Colour portraits also are used to produce the Custom Colour Portrait. This portrait is custom printed, fully enhanced* and retouched** as needed. Then is mount on board and semi-gloss sprayed.
The Economy Colour Portrait
When the primary consideration is price, The Economy Colour is a very satisfactory machine colour print with no enhancement or retouching included. This portrait lacks the dimensions found in the more expensive processes, but still exhibits all of the special photographic techniques you have come to expect from an original Clark Photography Portrait.
* Fully enhanced by burning in corners and hot spots, dodging spots that are too dark. This is to make sure your eyes always go to the subject. ** Retouching is of blemishes, minor skin flaws. Other retouching such as major corrective work or glass glare is charged to you. Please ask for a price quote.

Some Important Information
GENERAL Simple, plain outfits photograph the best, as they are not distracting. Our aim is to produce a timeless, beautiful portrait of you, and the best way to begin is to remember one word, SIMPLICITY! Your clothes should be plain and simple, not loud and busy, unless the intent of the portrait is to be bold, then anything goes.
GLASSES If you wear glasses, be sure to have your optician supply you with empty rims for the day of your appointment, as not only do glasses catch light reflections, but they also can distort the face line in some portraits because of the lenses. Contact lenses are no problem.
WOMEN Make-up: Eye shadow should be applied lightly and with care the center point of interest in a fine portrait is the eyes. Apply two coats of mascara on both upper and lower lashes. Wear your other make-up as usual. Bring all your make-up with you, in case any touch-ups are required.
MEN Be sure to shave just prior to your appointment as there is no way to hide a "five o'clock shadow" in colour or black & white photography.
RETOUCHING Blemish retouching is included on all Supreme Packages and the Deluxe Packages with the wall portraits. Please note that this is done on a case by case bases. If the head size is to small we may not be able to retouch the images. If extensive retouching is required please ask for a price quote as we only include blemish retouching. Also, please remember that if you wear glasses to bring empty frames with you. Glass glare is not covered and the cost of fixing glass glare will be passed along to the client.
Our Portrait Policies
Our Creation Fee is a deposit of $50.00 which is applied to your package as a payment. If you choose to purchase your photos individually the creation fee will be applied to any order that is over $150.00.
When you pickup your Proof Book a deposit of $50.00 is required. Upon placement of your portrait order, both your deposit and creation fee is applied to the package order. A payment of half of the remaining balance is due when you place your order and the balance is due when you pick it up.
All images created by this studio are copyrighted. You may not copy or have copied any images created by us.
Finished orders that are not picked up within 14 days of notice are subject to a $5.00 per week storage charge.
The Portrait Proofs are the property of the studio and must be returned with your order. If you wish to keep your Proof Book there is a $35.00 fee for it.
In the event of a camera malfunction or other problem that would destroy any of the photographs, the studio is responsible only for the refund of any Monies already received.
